Passed Away
July 12, 2010. Littleton, CO
John W. Seiler, age 67, passed away at 5:25 a.m. on July 12, 2010 after a long battle with brain cancer. He died at home under the loving care of his wife Melissa, daughter Tracy, and Denver Hospice of whom we cannot begin to say enough wonderful things about. Their care and support will always be gratefully appreciated. We could not have had him home with us without that support.
He isalso survived by his sisters Jeanette Black of North Carolina and Susan Peters of Chicago, Illinois. Also by his many relatives, cousins, nieces, nephews, and the many friends established over the years. His career in real estate began thirty years ago with Century 21, Stark Realty and lastly with Landmark Brokers Realty Southwest. He loved tennis, paddle tennis, skiing, bowling, 8 ball pool, bridge, and reading. Many friendships were made while enjoying these passions and he loved and highly valued all of you for those relationships.
His daughter, Tracy, left the country on Wednesday morning to fly to South America. There she will obtain her last three college credits towards her Master's in Education. John was adamant about her going to complete her degree. A memorial service will be after she returns to Denver.
The service will be held on July 30th, 11:00am at Abiding Hope Lutheran Church, 6337 S. Robb Way, (the southeast corner of the intersection of Coal Mine Road and Simms Avenue) in Littleton, 80127. Lunch will be served after the service in the gym of the church. Internment will have been held the day before at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
Thank you to all who came by to visit and say goodbye and for all the cards and phone calls received. Thank you for the flowers and meals that were so thoughtfully provided.
In lieu of flowers, we request that donations be made to either Denver Hospice or the American Cancer Society. We have a sixteen year old niece who is fighting her own cancer battle so research and a cure is more vital to our family than ever before.
