Harry I am so sorry to hear about the loss of a truly good Man. No greater love than a Man give his life for another and your Dad served in a place where his Life was put in harms way. I have nothing but total respect for that. I am sorry for your pain, believe me I truly understand that pain for I lost my Mother about 4 years ago. One minute they are with us and the next they are gone, but oh soo cherished and remembered forever. Hang in there my brother, and of course my condolences to your whole extended family as well!!! God Bless you all

The Knight Family - Taylor, Lisa, and Roman

Joe, we love you with all of our hearts and you will be missed greatly by us until we see you again. Our nieghborhood will never be the same without you. I personally will always remember the countless talks in your kitchen, back yard or our front porch almost every weekend for the last 4 years. You taught me a ton about what it meant to be a man, to not complain, and most importantly through your action (whether a little off beat or not) how to show and give love and care for all those around you which was proven more than ever over the last week with all of your family by the love they have for you now and forever and the love they gave to us. While it is still not they same to everyday get home and not to be getting yelled at from across the street from everything from our groceries to a million bucks, We can simply say that it still echoes just like you are there. We will truely miss you and it was an honor to get the short time with you that we had with you. To Margret, we love you just the same, you are like a surrogate grandma to us, you are in our hearts and prayers everyday, we are just a yell away, and my family will be there everyday to support you with anything you need. To John, Harry, Ed, Loretta, Amy, Bobbie, Gloria, and all the rest of your wonderful family on all sides, our hearts and prayers go out to each and everyone of you, we are so sorry for your loss and my family as well is here for all of you as well if anything is ever needed. Joe had an amazing impact on all of you we got the pleasure of meeting and all of you embody that love that Joe has. Lastly, from Roman, he misses you everytime he see's your pic but knows you are with Jesus and "Hey Buddy"

I love you grandpa! I'll miss your generous heart and all your funny jokes! I'll always have our memories of you teaching me music, and us playing guitar together... It pains me to think that that's all the time I get with you. How do I live up to your legacy ? All I can do is promise to try to be half the man you were! I'll miss you soooo much! I'll never forget you. I'll never forget what you taught me. Be at peace. I love you grandpa !!!

I love you Blase. I'll miss the crazy phone calls where you tried to pretend to be the President. Caller ID always gave you away, but I loved the calls. Thanks so much for all you did to have family together when Dave or I came to Denver. You always made everyone feel at home. Now it is your turn to finally feel at home with our Lord. I won't say "Good-by", but "See you later" Love, Connie Padilla

What I wrote before my Uncle passed away to Heaven: Uncle Blase's Kitchen- When I was young the 1/2 hour drive to Westminster (Westminister for all you natives) seemed to take about 3 hours to me, but somehow I didn't mind. There would be Uncle Louie driving, Grandma in the front passenger seat and me in the back. Somehow I did not mind at all. I could not wait to sit on the carpeted bench in the kitchen with the Seagram’s 7 below in the storage and the cabinet full of cookies and chips. I would sit there for hours listening to Uncle Blasé playing the guitar better than BB King, my Grandma singing, Uncle Louie with his smiling eyes laughing and Aunt Margaret was giving me sweets. They would make up funny Spanish songs, sing, laugh and drink Seagram’s on ice with a tad of water. I don't think I ever read so many cartoons, ate so many green apples with salt, ate tons of wafer cookies and yes drank so many sodas from the pop shop. That is where I learned to understand Spanish and yes, that includes the really bad words. I'll always remember the way my Uncle said my name- Laaaaanaaaaaaaaaa because Harry and Johnny say my name just like that. I know I will always here stories from my mom about the history of my Uncle when he was young, the stories that start off with "MY DAD" from RED and Bobbie. Oh and Ed you have a big shoe to fill Mr., the parties to gather our huge family at least three to four times a year. You have started that with the annual 4th parties. I'll miss my Uncle, but he taught me to be proud of being brown even though he called us Rennaker kids the Zebra’s :) This all translated into to being proud of who you are today, who you will become and where you came from. I love you Uncle Blasé aka Blasito as Grandma would say. The best 88 year old Chippendale dancer I will ever know.
